Cairo Photo Week is back bigger and more diverse! Photographers are taking over Downtown Cairo this February.  

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗼 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟴-𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳: 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗮𝘄.

Brining you 𝟵𝟬+ 𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 over 10 days covering almost all genres of photography & image making: fashion, food, portraits , documentary, photojournalism, photo editing, cinematography, advertising, fine art, NFTs, analogue, archival, art direction, food styling, fashion styling, retouching, editorial & media production all on one large platform in the heart of the city.

Our educational direction this edition will focus on & reconnect with the origins of the photographic practice as applied to so many contexts, formats and genres: hence the word RAW is our theme - metaphorically not literally; the origins that have been alienated over the past few years because of the invasion of social media as a alternative platform a “fast photo” trend that lacks the basics of the craft. We will reconnect, revive and re-introduce the proper practice to our audience in attempt to pause the “fast photo” culture sabotaging the lens-based art & profession. 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀: In celebration of 10 years of Photopia, Cairo Photo Week 2023 will be more affordable and accessible for all, so everyone can benefit from the valuable program and networking. (Passes will be for 10 days giving access to more than 90 educational events).
