Photopia School of Photography is happy to announce an open call to apply for "It's Personal" exhibition that will be held in Cairo Photo Week in March 2021 in Downtown Cairo.
"It’s Personal” is an intimate photography exhibition exposing one’s own personal experience/ story in any environment or context. The exhibition is not only linked to a personal one-image story, the photographer can also narrate the story of a close friend, a family member, a person he interacted with on the street, a place, a memory, a dream, a still life, a building, anything that would expose an intimate truth or emotion.
The main element must be a visual & descriptive narrative that tells a short story about the subject/hero in one to three images. This exhibition requires a powerful visual aesthetics along with an impactful descriptive narration.
Objective: Using photography to share something personal connects people with each other; and this is the main aim of its personal exhibition: is to share part of your story that other people might relate to/ connect with.
Since we want a wider public interaction with photography as an important medium, the exhibition will be exhibited both on the streets of downtown and indoors.
Street exhibitions is subject to some permits that are still under way.
-Submission deadline: December 20, 2020. -Submissions are open to all photographers (all age groups). -You can submit from 1 up to 3 photos about the same story. -The photo/s must be accompanied by a short story related to the photograph written in either Arabic or English (from 100-150 words). -Applications (in English or Arabic ) can be submitted through the following link: https://forms.gle/RTYEzj3q2uMWeKzL9

تسعد مدرسة فوتوبيا للتصوير الفوتوغرافي ان تعلن عن دعوة لمشاركة المصورين للتقديم في معرض “شخصي” الذي سيقام في أسبوع القاهرة للصورة في مارس ٢٠٢١.
"شخصي" هو معرض تصوير فوتوغرافي يعرض التجربة / القصة الشخصية في اي سياق على حسب رؤية المصور. لا يرتبط المعرض بقصة شخصية فحسب بل يمكن للمصور أيضًا أن يروي قصة مرتبط بصديق أو فرد من العائلة أو شخص تفاعل معه في الشارع ،أو مكان ، ذكرى ، حلم ، حياة ساكنة ، مبنى ، أي شيء من شأنه أن يكشف حقيقة أو عاطفة ما.
يجب أن يكون العنصر الرئيسي هو سرد مرئي وصفي يحكي قصة قصيرة عن الموضوع أو البطل في صورة واحدة: يتطلب هذا المعرض جماليات بصرية قوية مع سرد وصفي مؤثر.
الهدف من المعرض هو استخدام التصوير الفوتوغرافي لمشاركة الآخرون بقصة شخصية لكي يتفاعلون معها ، و من ثم مشاركة جزء من قصتك قد يرتبط به الآخرون و يتواصلون مع الفوتوغرافيا كوسيط شعبي و محبوب للاغلبية.
نظرًا لأننا نريد تفاعلًا عامًا أوسع مع التصوير الفوتوغرافي كوسيط مهم ، فسيتم عرض المعرض في شوارع وسط المدينة و داخل مباني وسط البلد التاريخية و سوف يكون متاح للعامة.
(معرض الشارع سوف يتم بعد استخرج التصاريح اللازمة).

هام: نرجو منكم ملئ كل الخانات في رابط الاشتراك مع وضع رابط للصورة المقدمة (بحد اقصى ٣ صور عن نفس القصة لكل مصور) مع سرد كتابي واضح عن الموضوع بحد ادني ١٠٠ كلمة و اقصى ١٥٠ كلمة.
