No one has a full perspective on photography without gaining a fundamental knowledge of darkroom practice! This course is designed to provide you with that knowledge. It explores analogue photography and covers all aspects of black and white darkroom techniques from film processing to printing, enlarging and toning. Through the course, participants become acquainted with the functions and purposes of darkroom equipment and experience all its procedures. Applications for these skills: artistic, archival, personal and heritage projects.

من الأساسي للإلمام بشكل كامل عن التصوير الفوتوغرافي أن يعرف المصور أو المصورة أسس الغرفة المظلمة . قام المدرب بتصميم هذه الدورة البسيطة لتعريفكم بأساسيات التعامل مع المعمل ، وأهم هذه الأساسيات قدرتكم على التعامل مع أفلام الأبيض والأسود بداية من تظهير الفيلم مروراً بطباعة الصور وتكبيرها. عند اتمامكم هذه الدورة سوف تكونوا قادرين على التعامل داخل الغرفة المظلمة بشكل منفرد بل وربما تكوين غرفتكم المظلمة الخاصة بكم فى المنزل إذا استهواكم الأمر .
عن المدرب:
محمد الميموني، يعيش ويعمل في القاهرة منذ عام ١٩٩٨واشترك في عدد من المعارض الجماعية المحلية والدولية كمصور. يعمل الميموني أيضاً مصوراً صحفياً بأحد الجرائد المحلية إلى جانب عمله كفنيّ معمل التحميض بمركز الصورة المعاصرة بالقاهرة. اكتسب مهاراته من خلال احتكاكه مع عدد من المصورين، وخاصة ممن يمتلكون أسلوباً متفرداً، وخبرة متميزة. يختص الميموني بالعمل على الأحجام الكبيرة من الفيلم والعمل بالطرق غير التقليدية (التصوير البديل).
المشتركون يفضل ان يمتلكوا كاميرا فيلم.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Mohamed ElMaymouny:
Mohamed ElMaymouny has lived & worked in Cairo since 1998. As photographer he participated in collective local & international exhibitions. ElMaymouny also works as a photojournalist for Egyptian local newspapers alongside his job as Darkroom Technician at the Contemporary Image Collective in Cairo. He mainly developed his skills through direct interaction and collaboration with other photographers, especially those with a unique or distinctive style or practice. ElMaymouny is specialized in working with large format film and alternative photography techniques.
